An Ordinance to amend the Budget for the City of Florence, South Carolina, for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2002, and ending June 30, 2002.

            b.         Bill No. 2002-42 - Second Reading                       
An Ordinance to provide for the holding of the 2003 Municipal Election for the occupancy of the Office of Mayor and two At-Large City Council seats and for certain times for the filing of nomination petitions, holding primaries or conventions, the entry of candidates for nominations in municipal party primary elections or conventions and the time for closing of entries.     

c.         Bill No. 2002-43 - Second Reading

An Ordinance to annex property owned by Alice Matthews at 211 Hutchinson Ave.

VII.     INTRODUCTION OF ORDINANCES

a.         Bill No. 2002-36 - First Reading
An Ordinance to authorize the lease of a portion of the elevated tank and water plant site at 1006 West Darlington Street, for the placement of a radio equipment building, antenna system and coaxial transmission line.

b.         Bill No 2002-44 - First Reading
A Series Ordinance to authorize the borrowing of not exceeding $2,517,834, plus capitalized interest, if any, from the South Carolina Water Quality Revolving Authority (the “State Authority”) for a 3.75% interest loan to finance a portion of the construction costs of a raw water storage facility at the Pee Dee River Regional Water System; the acquisition of a standby engine-generator unit at the raw water pump station; and the construction of ammonia feed systems to be added to eight existing groundwater plants.

c.         Bill No. 2002-45 - First Reading
An Ordinance to rezone property owned by Mr. John R. Chase and Mr. Michael G. Roberts located at 1513 West Palmetto Street by amending the Zoning Atlas of the City of Florence.

d.         Bill No. 2002-46 - First Reading
An Ordinance to annex and zone property owned by Mr. Howard L. and Mrs.
Evelyn R. Cussac located at 521 Wilson Road by amending the Zoning Atlas
of
the City of Florence.

e.         Bill No. 2002-47 - First Reading
An Ordinance to annex and zone property owned by Mr. Tommy and Mrs. Diane Bryant located at 1754 Norwood Lane by amending the Zoning Atlas of the City of Florence.

f.          Bill No. 2002-48 - First Reading
An Ordinance to annex and zone property owned by Mr. John A. James,
Mr. William Clark, and Mr. George Felton located at 1513, 1517, and 1528
McKenney Court by amending the Zoning Atlas of the City of Florence.

g.         Bill No. 2002-49 - First Reading
An Ordinance to rezone properties owned by Mr. William Dailey located in the
900 Block of Third Loop road by amending the Zoning Atlas of the City of Florence.

VIII.    REPORTS TO COUNCIL

a.         A report by Mr. Bobby Bowers, Director, Office of Research and Statistics
regarding the 2000 Census demographic results and its impact on our
voting districts.
  

b.         A report by the Friends of the Library regarding a request on a book project
for the new Florence County Library.

c.         A report by Mr. Calvin Thomas, President of the Florence Branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People regarding three major issues related to the City of Florence.
